We offer the following services:

• Complete management of your yachts winter maintenance.

This includes organising winter storage, full winterisation of all equipment, preparing rigs for de stepping, full strip down of spars. Servicing engines, servicing all mechanical equipment including winches. Valeting, servicing seacocks, identifying broken or malfunctioning equipment and organising or carrying out repairs, antifouling, changing anodes and polishing of topsides. In the spring we will have your yacht launched, rig stepped and set up. All systems will be tested and we will hand the yacht over to you ready to go sailing hassle free. We use databases to ensure that all aspects of the maintenance schedule are carried out and that we have records of previous work carried out. We also build data on spare parts for your yacht so we can easily supply new parts from records.

• Maintenance management of yachts abroad.

Often yachts owners find it hard to get quality work carried out on their yachts abroad. YSS can travel out on short term contracts to service, winterise commission or repair yachts. We will offer fixed fee for our time on these contracts. We will carry out a large amount of the work ourselves and will manage local labour for the more labour intensive jobs. Again we use databases to keep track of service work required and parts required.

• Refit Management.

We can offer to run all aspects of your refit. From finding a yard, budgeting, getting good quality contractors, managing the project and ensuring that it finishes on time and on budget.

• New build Consultancy.

We can offer advice in choosing the right yacht, specification. We can then carry out yard visits to ensure everything is going to plan on the build. Finally we can carry out seatrials and deliver the yacht if required.

• Commissioning.

Yacht Services Scotland Ltd can carry out the commissioning of your vessel. We can also incorporate this service with sea trials and delivery.
We have done many commissioning jobs. This includes the fishery research vessel "Monam", which we then conducted sea trials on and then delivered from Scotland to Oman.
